Silvia C. Hernandez

Silvia C. Hernández is a postdoc in the Frangogiannis lab in the department of Medicine-Cardiology. For the past two years, she has been working to  try to understand, at cellular and molecular levels, the role of fibroblasts during myocardial infarction and hypertrophy in the heart.

Outside of the lab, she enjoys spending time with friends, discovering new places, and listening to music. 

Silvia is also passionate about her work advocating for postdocs. Said Silvia of this work:  "I really enjoy organizing events for postdocs and knowing that they are having fun. I try to help us much as I can, sometime things are not in my hands but I am always here to listen."
